Late Winner from Havertz Gives Gunners Victory but Not the Championship

Kai Havertz scored an 89th-minute winner for Arsenal on Sunday, but the Gunners' Premier League title bid fell short. Everton took an early lead through a header from Dominic Calvert-Lewin, but Arsenal equalized through Bukayo Saka midway through the second half. Havertz's late strike gave Arsenal the win, but it was not enough to overcome Manchester City's 4-2 victory over Aston Villa. City finished the season with 95 points, two ahead of Arsenal.
The Emirates Stadium crowd was left stunned by the result, which ended Arsenal's hopes of winning their first Premier League title since 2004.
